Social Media Specialist – San Diego, CA

Job Description:

220 Marketing specializes in providing online marketing tools and consulting to the mortgage, real estate, and insurance industries. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Social Media Specialist, who is comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The candidate selected for this position will perform a variety of duties directly related to ensuring that our valued clients receive comprehensive social media content. In addition, the Social Media Specialist will establish and maintain the online reputation of our clients, research and identify social media trends, and provide daily monitoring/posting/updating services for the client’s organization.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Set up, update, and manage social media profiles for 220 Social clientele
  • Create and maintain a visibly professional presence on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Leverage monitoring tools to provide detailed documentation of trend social media performance.
  • Provide daily/weekly updates of client social media status
  • Develop best practices and recommend innovative rules of engagement for digital/social/mobile media
  • Development, execute, and analyze social media campaigns on time and within budget
  • Research and develop brand-specific content for social posting in accordance with client mission
  • Ensure all written social media complaints related to client organization are documented, reported, and responded to appropriately
  • Develop and execute paid social media campaigns to meet client organizational and marketing goals
  • Analyze relevant keywords and generate content that incorporates them
  • Write in-depth product descriptions with a seamless blend of creative and technical writing skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Meet quality assurance policies and procedures
  • Skillfully deliver telephone or web-based presentations of company solutions and services
  • Methodically build relationships and rapport with social clients through outbound/inbound call efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field
  • 1-3 years marketing writing experience
  • Advance understanding of social media marketing and best practices across multiple platforms
  • Solid and adaptable writing skills–can write professionally and creatively and compose useful, relevant, and engaging content
  • Willingness and desire to foster mutually beneficial relationships with clients via phone, email and social media communication
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team

$17 hr base + Monthly Performance Bonus + (Health & Vacation after 90 days)
